We have some great news coming out of the US Prep School circuit. AR’s own Olivia Bishop was instrumental in helping her hockey team from Choate Rosemary Hall prep to win in OT. Here is an exert from a newspaper in Connecticut
The Gators (2-1) looked sharp early in the first period when they lit the scoreboard just two minutes into the contest when Eva Rosencrans found Pamela Schulman for a goal that beat Choate goalie Sam Kemper (22 saves) to the glove side. That advantage held true for nearly the entire period until with a little over two minutes left Choate sophomore Olivia Bishop chased down a loose puck just off the right of the GA net that DeFrino (21 saves) went out to clear. Unfortunately for the Gators, Bishop got there first and swiftly delivered a drop pass that found a trailing Herr, who promptly deposited the puck into the back of the vacated net
Just to let everyone know that The Quebec Remparts game, featuring Athletic Republic’s Anthony Duclair, Patrick Walsh and Kurt Etchegary, will be televised on Sportnet East and TVA Sports this upcoming Friday, February 17th. 7pm start.
